Casio GW2500B-1A G-Shock Aviator Watch Review

Overview:

The Casio GW2500B-1A is superbly functional and durable watch from Casio which is pointed towards aviators or those who simply need to travel a lot.  This watch is equipped with a number of sophisticated functions, such as solar power, atomic timekeeping which updates itself twice a day, and the capacity to store and display any number of time-zones.  Since this watch is specifically built for people who travel a lot between different time zones, it has storage for one button push display of favorite alternate time-zones.

As with all watches in the G-Shock line, this watch is highly durable and rugged, with a mineral crystal protecting the face, which itself set back into the watch to avoid abrasions.  A stainless steel case, and rugged resin band complete the package to make it strong but light.

The digital portion of the watch gives you a UTC readout (12 and 24hr).  The only criticism mentioned about this watch is that the digital readout has no backlight, so is hard to see in the dark.  Others have mentioned that's why the analog portion is luminescent, so that time can still be seen in the dark through the analog part of the watch.
