Casio GW1500-1AV G-Shock Watch Review

Rated 4.5 Stars by 63 Actual Owners

Overview:

The Casio GW1500-1AV is a very and unique watch with a number of cool features to its credit.  First off this is a solar powered watch, which does not require batteries.  Secondly its timekeeping function is synched twice a day with official world time (atomic timekeeping) which makes it one of the most accurate watches in existence.  Next it has an LED backlight along with luminescent hands for seeing the time in the dark.

Aside from all of this, this is an extremely rugged and durable watch.  A mineral crystal protects the face, which is itself set more deeply into the watch than most others to avoid even the initial abrasion.  The watch case is made of sturdy stainless steel, while the bezel and watch band are made of a tough resin.  This watch is definitely meant to be worn by very active men.

The GW1500 can also display 29 different time zones, and updates for daylight savings time automatically.  Most users are very happy with both the performance and looks of the watch as is reflected in the high user rating score.  The only criticisms mentioned are that the backlight function has broken down on a couple of users after 18 months or so.  There is not however a high degree of breakdown complaints by users about this timepiece.
